Quick answers to common staff questions
Submit your leave request through the HR portal at least 2 weeks in advance. Download the Annual Leave Request Form from the Forms section above, complete it, and obtain your supervisor's approval before submission.
Staff may work remotely up to 3 days per week, subject to supervisor approval and operational requirements. The updated Remote Work Policy (February 2026) provides detailed guidelines on eligibility, equipment, and expectations.
You can file a grievance through HR or contact a Staff Council representative directly. All grievances are handled confidentially. Review the Grievance Procedures document for the complete process and timeline.
We offer free confidential counseling through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), covering up to 8 sessions per year. Mental health coverage also includes outpatient psychiatric care and prescription medications.
Education grants cover up to 75% of tuition fees for dependent children in K-12 education. Applications must be submitted at the start of each academic year with supporting documentation. Maximum annual grant is $15,000 per child.
Primary caregivers receive 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave. Secondary caregivers receive 4 weeks. Additional unpaid leave of up to 6 months may be granted. Adoption and surrogacy are covered equally.

Elections are held annually in October. Half of the representative seats are up for election each year. Nominations open in September. All permanent staff members are eligible to vote and to stand for election.
